Your data and choices

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Marble Collector processes when you use the website or iPhone app, which service providers help deliver it, and the choices available to you.

01

1. Information we process

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers and security/session information.
  • Profile data: display name, handle and any optional biography, country or avatar details you add.
  • Collection data: marble photographs, identification results, notes, measurements, likes, comments and other records you choose to save.
  • Subscription data: plan, provider and subscription status. Stripe or Apple processes the full payment credentials; Marble Collector does not store your full card number.
  • Support data: the name, email, topic, message and attachments you send when requesting help or feedback.
  • Technical data: device/browser information, security logs, errors and optional usage analytics where you have allowed analytics.
02

2. How the information is used

  • Create and secure your account, sync your collection and provide community features.
  • Send images and optional clues to the cloud identification service and return candidate results.
  • Search current marketplace listings connected with a proposed identification.
  • Manage subscriptions, usage limits, support requests and service messages.
  • Prevent abuse, diagnose errors and improve the product.
  • Measure page and feature use only when optional analytics is allowed.
03

3. AI processing, images and public records

AI identification is cloud-based, not processed only on your device. The photographs and optional details needed for a scan are sent through Marble Collector’s server-side service to an AI provider to produce the result.

Saved identification records are currently published to the community feed and can be viewed without signing in. A public record can include the marble photos, identification, collection profile label and comments. Do not upload photographs containing faces, addresses, documents or other personal information in the background. Delete a record if you no longer want that record available through the service.

04

4. Service providers

Marble Collector uses specialist providers to run the service. These currently include Supabase for authentication, databases, storage and server functions; Google services for AI processing and, with permission, Firebase Analytics; Stripe for web billing; Apple for iOS distribution and billing; eBay data services for active marketplace listings; and an email-delivery service for support and account messages.

Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments. Information may be processed in countries other than your own where those providers operate.

05

5. Analytics choices

Firebase Analytics is optional on the website. Until you choose “Allow analytics,” the site does not start it. You can change the choice on this page. Necessary account, security and payment functions are unaffected.

06

6. Retention, security and deletion

Account and collection data is kept while the account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service. Support, security and transaction records may be retained for those purposes after other content is deleted.

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no online service can promise absolute security. You can delete individual marbles in the collection and request account deletion from Settings. Contact support if you cannot access those controls.

07

7. Children, changes and contact

Marble Collector is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied data should contact the team.

This policy may change as the service changes. Material updates will be dated here. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the contact page or to ladesignes@gmail.com.
